Clear calorie and nutrition information
- Sector wide Guideline Daily Amount (GDA) labelling scheme and complete roll out since 2008
- Nutrition information in consumer-noticeable way
- On-pack calorie info per 100ml/or per serving on all products
- Prominently advertise on pack the low/no-calorie nature of products.
Guideline Daily Amount labelling has now been replaced by Reference Intake Labelling (RI) in line with EU legislation.
Why we do this:
UNESDA provides clear on-pack labelling of all ingredients including energy and calorie contribution in order that people can make informed choices when purchasing a soft drink.
