Country of Origin Labelling: UNESDA submits its comments to the European Commission

Earlier this month, UNESDA submitted formal comments to the European Commission on its proposed Implementing Regulation for voluntary country-of-origin labelling.
In its contribution, UNESDA has expressed its support for the comments made by FoodDrinkEurope, including the need for guidance on interpretation of some articles. In particular UNESDA highlighted the importance of having an extended transitional period, until at least April 2020, to enable producers to adapt to the new requirements.
