
Suntory Beverage and Food Europe (SBFE) is committed to offering healthier products, creating sustainable packaging and reducing food waste. These commitments fully support the EU’s objective to provide healthier food and drink choices to consumers and to move towards a circular economy.
Healthy, balanced and sustainable diets
As part of its long-term strategy of sugar reduction, Suntory Beverage and Food Europe (SBFE) has committed to reducing average added sugars in its beverages by 35% by 2025.
Food loss and waste
SBFE has pledged to reduce food waste from production by 50% by 2030 and 0% waste to landfill from its factories.
Climate neutrality
To reduce its impact on environment, SBFE is working towards reaching 50% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) scope 1 & 2, and 30% reduction in GHG emissions scope 3 by 2030.
It is also taking action to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 or sooner across whole value chain.
Circular and resource-efficient food chain
SBFE aims to use 100% sustainable plastic bottles by 2030, switching to recycled and biobased materials, and fully moving away from fossil fuels-based virgin plastic. This includes using a minimum of 50% recycled plastic in its bottles by 2025 or sooner.
SBFE has also committed to making its packaging 100% recyclable by 2025 by designing for circularity.
