Revision of the Drinking Water Directive 98/83/EC: UNESDA submits its comments to the public consultation
Last week, UNESDA submitted its comments to the European Commission public consultation on the revision of the Drinking Water Directive 98/83/EC. The document, which consolidated feedback from members, was inputted via the Commission’s ‘Have Your Say’ website, ahead of the closing date on 2 April.
In its contribution, UNESDA insisted on the need for legal clarity regarding the scope of the recast directive and for a gradual introduction, with sufficient transitional periods, of the new chemical parameters.
