UNESDA is recruiting a junior profile for its public policy and communication team!

UNESDA is looking for an intern to support its growing public policy and communication activities, with the prospect of a permanent full-time position.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the public affairs and communication functions
  • Monitor and report on policies and media coverage, both at EU and national level
  • Support the advocacy activities (briefings, setting up meetings, etc.)
  • Contribute to the building of internal materials and external positions for the sector
  • Managing the social media function (creating Gifs, Twitter), updating the website
  • Assist in the organisation of events (in Brussels and within the EU)
  • Participate in internal and external meetings and draft minutes

PROFILE:

  • Recent graduate in EU-related studies.  Strong understanding of EU institutions, policies and decision-making processes is essential
  • Interest in health and sustainability policies is a plus
  • Strong writing, project management and communication skills
  • Social media creation skills are a plus
  • Self-starter and ability to work to tight deadlines both independently as well as part of a team
  • Fluent spoken and written English is essential – other languages are welcome
  • Ability to work and engage with a range of stakeholders in a multinational environment
