UNESDA sponsoring and attending 2019 Petcore Europe Conference
UNESDA sponsored the annual Petcore Conference on the “EU Plastics Strategy 2.0: Taking the PET industry to the next steps”.
The two-days session gathered an audience with representatives from industry, civil society and authorities. The speakers present included PET producers, recyclers and users debating in particular solutions to reach the objectives of the Single Use Plastics directive.
Participants also discussed how to increase collection and recycling via Extended Producer Responsibility schemes and Deposit Return Schemes, as well as the future of chemical recycling and eco-design.
It was also an opportunity to promote the UNESDA packaging ambitions, on recyclability, collection, use of recycled content and reuse of plastic bottles. More information to find here.
